Reflective Room is the winning design of the Courtyard Project competition involving the students at the Manchester School of Architecture and the Manchester Museum. This blog will display daily updates of the progress of the Reflective Room up until its construction on site, as well as documenting the individual submissions and shortlisted designs. Rather like a spider crab, this structure sits and exerts its load to points at the
ends of its legs. The legs meet at the top and articulate, like a crab. The legs are made from laminated plywood components, joined with mortice and tenon joints.
